Booking, Cancellation, and Refund Policy
Effective August 18, 2026 · Version 2026-08-18
This policy forms part of the Metaparlour Terms of Service. The exact terms presented at checkout apply to a booking and will be retained with its transaction record.
1. Before booking
The checkout screen must show the service, provider, date and time, location, total price, taxes and fees, deposit or prepayment, cancellation deadline, refund eligibility, and any provider-specific rule before payment.
2. Customer changes and cancellations
Customers may cancel or request a change through the available booking or support channel. Charges depend on the policy disclosed before checkout. A provider rule cannot remove a non-waivable consumer right.
3. Late arrivals and no-shows
A provider may shorten or decline a service when a customer arrives late if that consequence was disclosed. A no-show fee or deposit forfeiture applies only when clearly disclosed before checkout and permitted by law.
4. Provider changes and cancellations
Providers must communicate changes promptly. If a provider cannot deliver the booked service, the customer may choose an available reschedule or a refund of the amount paid for the undelivered service, subject to applicable law.
5. Refunds
Approved refunds return to the original payment method where practical. Processor timing varies. Platform, product, event, personalized-service, and third-party charges may follow separately disclosed rules, but statutory rights remain unaffected.
6. Service concerns
Customers should report a concern promptly with relevant booking information. Metaparlour may facilitate communication, review records, apply Platform policy, issue or recover amounts where authorized, or restrict an account, but independent providers remain responsible for their services.
7. Chargebacks and abuse
Users should contact support before filing a payment dispute when safe and practical. Fraudulent disputes, fabricated evidence, repeated no-shows, or attempts to bypass Platform payment rules may result in account restrictions.
